Campus Involvement

Our sisters find it very important to make sure we are not only involved within our chapter and the Greek community, but also around campus! One of our very own sisters started a great organization on campus called Autism Speaks. It is an amazing organization that raises money and awareness for those who suffer from autism. This particular event, that all of Greek life attends in order to support our sister, consists of a 5k run or a 3k walk for those who decide to participate. There is also a barbecue and different fun events hosted on the lawn in down town Amherst.

We also are very active in participating in UDance, which is a campus wide event that anyone can attend. This is a wonderful event that raises money for Baystate Children's Hospital. Each sorority has the opportunity of having a goal to raise as much money as they possibly can for this great cause. Then we are able to go to the actual 12 hour dance marathon for these children while they come to the event held in the Campus Center. We make sure that we are have different events around campus, such as tabling, and raffles, as well as at different off campus food franchises that students love. It is a great way to help support these kids in need and show how much these different events mean to us to the campus community, while meeting new people!

There are several other activities that our chapter likes to be involved in on our campus, such as Greek Expos so that other students on campus are able to see the amazing opportunities and experiences we all are able to be a part of. Many of the sisters are involved in different honor societies and clubs which shows the passion they have for their academics and their hobbies. It is nice that even when they are not wearing their letters, these women are always showing that they are a part of the Greek community, being sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and encouraging others by their handwork, and dedication.
